31dc Day 20: WATER MARBLE

Day 20: Water Marble Nails:). I have decided after 3 attempts on one nail I am horrible at water marbling. The picture is from the third attempt it looked better before it dried, and before i got my hair stuck in it (oops! :P). If you want to know how to do it: Click Here for a tutorial.

31dc Day 19: GALAXY

Day 19: Galaxy Nails:). We were trying to do nails with lots of mini stars on them however my gold nail brush is too big and it ended up as one big splodge. Below is what we wanted it to look like. The way to do this design to get the best results is to paint the nail gold then using sticky tape or stickers and cut them into the shape of stars then paint over the stickers and the whole nail in black then peel off the stars carefully.

31dc Day 18: HALF MOONS

Day 18: Half Moon Nails:). For this design we decided to do owls.

We got the design from this picture above. This is such a cute design but i forgot to do the feet! I hope to do this design again. To do this design follow the picture provided.

31dc Day 17: GLITTER

Day 17: Glitter Nails:). For this nail we tried to do french nails but with glitter. We were going to do it with purple glitter but it ended up being gold. This design is done by painting lots of layers of glitter polish on the tip of your nail until its thick.

31dc Day 16: TRIBAL PRINT

Day 16: Tribal Print Nails:). We decided to go with Pocahontas as a theme for tribal. It started out really well then i smudged it oops... Other than that it looks ok... Any who to do this design us a cream clour for the top then a yellow colour and blue with blue spots of the necklace.

31dc Day 15: DELICATE PRINT

Day 15: Delicate Print Nails:). For this design we tried to go for a pattern with fluro colours and crazy patterns. It was hard to think of designs and we did look up ideas online. To do this deign use a toothpick and do random patterns of fluro colours in scratches and lines.

Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines day! In honor of this 'LOVE'ly occasion i did my nails! I was going to do hearts with my stamping kit but i think i broke it :( I just used a big brush and hoped for the best! <3 to you all!

31dc Day 14: FLOWERS

Day 14: Flower Print Nails:). This design looked really hard at first but in fact its really easy. To do this design do a base coat of blue. Then put splodges of light pink and over that splodges of hot pink. When that dries add a yellow dot in the center and then use a toothpick to make green lines as the leaves.

31dc Day 13: ANIMAL PRINT

Day 13: Animal Print Nails:). For this nail we wanted to do paw prints but i smudged it with an over sized brush so we only did one. Next time ill use a toothbick or a smaller brush. To do this nail paint a base coat then add your paw prints in a colour of your choice. HINT: don't use a big brush.

31da Day 12: STRIPES

Day 12: Stripe Nails:). This nail design is inspired by the beautiful tropical Australian sunset. This design takes really long waiting for each stripe to dry. To do this nail design paint each stripe then paint black lines between each stripe then add the palm trees.

31dc Day 11: POLKA DOT

Day 11: Polka Dot Nails:). I really like this design because of how i did it using a lollypop stick. It was a really cool technique and it was fun and yummy ;). For this nail design paint a cream coat, then using the back of a lolly pop sick, dip it in nail polish and so some dots the smaller the lolly pop stick the more spots you can get on it.

31dc Day 10: GRADIENT

Day 10: Gradient Nails:). I have decided i am terrible at doing gradient nails. I think the reason they turned out bad is because we kinda gave up. I read somewhere that you have to use the sponge more than once but we gave up after the first try and then we made the dripping effect with a darker blue. To do this really simple nail design put a blob of light blue and a blob of dark blue on the nail then drag the dark blue through the light blue. To actually do the real gradient nails put desired colours on sponge then keep sponging until desired colour is reached.

31dc Day 9: RAINBOW

Day 9: Rainbow Nails:). Peace, love, happiness and dont forget the rainbows! This nail has tried to combine the peace and serenity that comes with a rainbow. This one has been one of the best so far. To do this nail start with the stripes using the thin part of the brush, then add the peace sign i did it with a nail art pen.

31dc Day 8: METALLIC

Day 8: Metallic Nails:). I don't have any metallic nail polish so I improvised with gold glitter! My nail art pen brush got distorted so the end bits closest to the finger are scratchy but it all worked out in the end. This design is done by a black base coat and adding gold glitter in a pattern of your choice. 

31dc Day 7: BLACK AND WHITE

Day 7: Black and White Nails:). I think we were going to do a checkered racing flag but decided against it when we found the all awesome SKULL nails. These would be great for Halloween if you went as a pirate or a skeleton. We used a black base coat with black and white nail pens for the face and decorations.

31dc Day 6: VIOLET

Day 6: Purple Nails:). Snowflakes! They were so cute and hard to resist when we were choosing what to do. It was such a delicate pattern though and took awhile to get the flake in order. We did a half moon purple base coat then the snow flake with a white nail art pen and covered it all with glitter.

31dc Day 5: BLUE

 Day 5: Blue Nails :). We originally thought of doing some sort of wave thing but as we looked deeper into the theme of blue our minds sparked and there he was! COOKIE MONSTER!!! It was such a cute idea i wish we had done Elmo for red. My cousin liked it so much she did the design on her toe nails.

To make this design all you need to do is a half base coat of blue the two white dots for eyes and the black mouth and dots with nail pens or a toothpick. I'm so sorry this was late posted my internet wasn't working yesterday. Today's entry posted tonight.

31dc Day 4: GREEN

Day 4: Green Nails :). Inspired by a good old Australian animal... The crocodile!! This cute little death trap makes a perfect addition to your awesome nails. We used a green base coat, then used a white nail art pen for the mouth and normal yellow for the eye. THE EYE OF EVIL!!! haha

31dc Day 3: YELLOW

Day 3: Yellow Nails :). At first we were going to do banana nails or a sun but after looking on the internet we decided on bumble bee hive. We did a fluro yellow base coat (we didn't have normal yellow) and used a black nail art pen for the hive bit.

31dc Day 2: ORANGE

Day 2: Orange nails :). What better to do an orange for orange nails! We went for a french mani look with the orange slice in the corner. You can't see very well but the yellow bit has lines that go from big to small in the middle. I did this using a toothpick.

31dc Day 1: RED

Day 1: Red nails :) We looked on the internet and search red and soon we saw pictures of roses and what better than to do roses as day one. We used a red base coat and then used a white nail pen to do the rose-like scratches in the corner.

31 day Nail Challenge!

So for February me and my cousins are going to do the 31 day nail challenge! Yes i know February only has 28 days but i will do the full 31 into March! Here is the challenge i am following there are lots but we chose this one. Let the challenge begin!!!!

Rainbow

Here are my cousins nails. I originally tried to do a fading rainbow but i didn't have to right sponge. Below is my original try. But i then did rainbow spots which turned out cute and nice. I since have ought the right sponge. :)

Leopard Print

 Here is my first attempt at some cool nails. (actually second, but first with pictures) The real way to do these nails is to do a base coat (gold) and then do spots of other colours (blue and black). But silly me i did this without instructions and put a base coat of blue then using the gold made circles and painted the gap, then put black spots on.

Oh well! They turned out good in the end!
